My name is Max Bregman, a soft goods designer with a strong passion for footwear, born in Denver and raised in San Diego. My work is rooted in storytelling, with a focus on creating emotion through design.
I’m especially drawn to fabrics and soft goods, exploring their properties and how they perform in real use. I’m inspired by the intersection of performance and culture within footwear, designing products built to be worn, tested, and lived in.

My '73 914
Outside of design, my 1973 Porsche 914 is a big part of what keeps me moving forward, both physically and mentally. I’m lucky enough to drive it every day, and I spend a lot of time working on it, restoring it, and learning more about the mechanical aspects behind it. I’m constantly looking for ways to improve it and make it function better.
It’s something I take a lot of pride in, and it’s become a space where I can think clearly. Driving through the canyons in my free time is where I come up with many of my ideas, and I’ve come to treat it as a form of meditation. It plays an important role in my creative process.
